The most cinematic of DAC Crowell's ambient works, the hauntingly beautiful, slowly permutating Sferica incorporates altered sound derived from short-wave radio transmissions and is full of sonic textures and vast auditory landscapes that give the listener an upwardly floating sensation—especially when heard on headphones. Sferica was sequenced as a complete loop, and is designed so that it can be started from any point on the album.
